If you’re unsure about how to use tofu, you might need to try this recipe! Esepcially if you’ve never tried it before or if haven’t found a way you enjoy it. This way of making tofu makes it the perfect crunchy topping for your noodles, rice bowls, tacos and more!
Crispy Tofu Crumbles
Crispy tofu crumble, perfect as a topping for rice bowls, tacos, noodles and more
Ingredients
- 250 g tofu
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce or regular
- sesame seeds
- 120 G noodles
- 1 tbsp roasted sesame paste or tahini
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- Water to thin
- 1 small cucumber julienned
- 1/2 cabbage cut into squares and sautéed ina dry pan until charred
Instructions
- Crumble the tofu with your hands, spread on a baking tray, season with the oil, mix to combine and bake at 180C for about 20/25 minutes until nice and crispy, mixing it halfway. Then season with soy sauce, add to a pan with some water and cook it until it’s coated. Cook the noodles according to package instructions.
- For the noodles mix the ingredients in a bowl, add some water and add the cooked noodles, mix well then serve, top with cucumber, cabbage, the crispy tofu and sesame seeds.
