These mini potato fritters are super easy to make and are incredibly delicious and crunchy! They make a great side dish or tasty snack. The only main ingredient required is grated potatoes!
These fritters are inspired by the traditional Swiss Rösti, which is a big potato fritter, which is commonly served to accompany other traditional dishes. The main difference is in the size, Rösti is a big fritter made in a frying pan, and sometimes it can be messy to make and flip, so I decided to make small fritters to make it easier and quicker!
Why you will love this recipe:

What you will need for these easy potato fritters:

How to make these potato fritters
First grate your potatoes, I left the skin on to avoid waste but you can peel them if you prefer. Before adding them to a mixing bowl, remove excess water by squeezing them in your hands or using a cheese cloth. Add to a mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper, mix to combine.
Heat up some olive oil on a pan or use a really good non stick pan. Then take a big tsbp of the grated potato and place it in the pan, flattening it down with the back of the spoon. Repeat for the rest of the mixture.
Cook for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crisp, then drain on some kitchen paper.
How to store Rösti fritters
- In the fridge, place them in an airtight container and reheat when needed, within 2/3 days.
- In the freezer, for up to a month.
Substitutes and alternatives
