Super delicious and crispy polenta coated mushrooms. They are so good and a different way to eat mushrooms, perfect for finger food, side or appetiser!
I tried this in a restaurant and I had to recreate them! They are simple to make but they are really delicious!
WHAT YOU NEED
- Chestnut/button mushrooms
- Dried Polenta
- Plain Flour
- Plant Milk
- Seasoning: salt, pepper, paprika, dried herbs
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Clean the mushrooms well with a cloth to remove any dirt.Then mix the flour with the seasoning and put it in a bowl. Prepare 2 more bowls, one with plant milk and one with dried polenta.
- Dip the mushrooms in flour then milk and repeat once, then finally dip int the polenta and coat it well.
- Put on a baking tray with baking paper, sprinkle with some olive oil and bake at 190C (static) for 15/20 minutes
- Serve and enjoy with a dip, I used bbq sauce!

- 3 Bowls
Ingredients
- 400 g Chestnut/button mushrooms, wiped clean
- 1 cup plain flour 120 grams
- 1 cup ¼ cup dried polenta 200 g
- 1 cup plant milk 235 ml
- bbq sauce for dressing
seasoning
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp mixed herbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
