First thaw the edamame, throw them in a bowl of hot water for a minute or two. Drain and pat them dry. This step is key—wet edamame won’t crisp up as nicely.
1 cup edamame
In a bowl, mix the edamame with sesame oil, garlic powder, sesame seeds, a pinch of salt and crumbled nori. Give them a good toss so everything is evenly coated.
1 tsp sesame oil, a pinch of garlic power, 1/2 tsp crushed nori sheets, 1 tsp sesame seeds
Spread them out in the air fryer basket (try not to overcrowd them) and cook at 200°C /400°F for 10 minutes. No need to preheat. Shake the basket halfway through for even crispiness.
Let them cool for a minute (they crisp up even more as they sit), then dig in. Just don’t be surprised if you finish the whole batch in one go!
If you do not have an air frier you can roast them at 200C/392F for 30/40 minutes until crunchy, Shaking them from time to time!
