Mushroom Walnut Paté
A creamy, earthy spread with a savory umami flavor. Perfect for crackers, toast, or as an appetizer.

- 500 g button mushrooms
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 80 g walnuts
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast or 1 tsp miso paste
Toast 80g walnuts for a few minutes (2/3) in the oven at 180C.
In a pan heat up w tbsp olive oil, then add 1 chopped onion, 1 minced garlic clove cook on low heat for a few minutes.
Wash and clean 500g of mushrooms well. Chop them in slices then add to the pan. Cook until they change colour and are soft.
Blend walnuts into ground
Add mushrooms, walnuts, salt and pepper, 1 tbsp nutritional yeast (or 1 tsp miso) to a blender. Blend until smooth.
Pour in a small bowl and cover. Let it cool down and enjoy!
